These are the courses/books that have had the biggest impact on my growth as an IT student and cybersecurity enthusiast. From foundational programming to advanced penetration testing, each one has played a key role in shaping my skills and knowledge.

CCNP Security SCOR 350-701

This course focuses on advanced network security concepts, including secure network access, VPNs, firewalls, and threat defense. It deepened my understanding of securing enterprise networks and provided hands-on experience with Cisco security technologies.

This course provided a comprehensive introduction to penetration testing, covering essential topics like network scanning, vulnerability assessment, and exploitation. Although I didn’t take the certification exam, the course gave me a solid foundation in ethical hacking and hands-on experience with tools like Nmap, Metasploit, and Burp Suite.

eCIR

This course focuses on incident response methodologies, threat detection, and handling security breaches. It provided hands-on experience in identifying, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents.

Bug Bounty Bootcamp book by Vickie Li

This book is a comprehensive guide to bug bounty hunting, covering everything from reconnaissance to vulnerability discovery and reporting. It’s packed with practical examples, real-world scenarios, and actionable tips that helped me understand the mindset and techniques of successful bug bounty hunters.

Linux Basics For Hackers by Occupy the Web

This book is a practical guide to mastering Linux, specifically tailored for aspiring hackers and cybersecurity professionals. It covers essential Linux commands, file systems, scripting, and tools that are critical for ethical hacking and penetration testing.

Red Teaming,Ethical Hacking Penetration Testing ,Bug Hunting by Eng. Hossam Shady

This comprehensive course dives deep into advanced cybersecurity topics, including red teaming, penetration testing, and bug hunting. It provided me with hands-on experience in simulating real-world attacks, identifying vulnerabilities, and exploiting them ethically.

OSCP (Nakerah Network)

This free course provided a detailed walkthrough of the OSCP certification, covering key topics like penetration testing methodologies, privilege escalation, and advanced exploitation techniques. It served as an excellent introduction to the OSCP curriculum. 

Digital Egypt Pioneers - PHP Web Developer​​

This program, sponsored by the Egyptian government, is designed to nurture tech talent and equip participants with cutting-edge skills in web development and technology. As a PHP Web Developer track participant, I gained hands-on experience in building dynamic web applications and understanding backend development, which complements my cybersecurity and IT expertise.  

Red Team Essentials by hackersploit

This comprehensive course provided me with a deep understanding of red teaming methodologies, tools, and techniques. It covered everything from reconnaissance and exploitation to persistence, lateral movement, and defense evasion, giving me a holistic view of how red teams operate in real-world scenarios.
